Though park signage says the loop is 3.5 miles, we've GPS'd it several times and it's almost exactly 2.25 miles. (It's 2.5 miles if you add on the Summit Spur detour, but we won't run that bit.)
The trail is a mix of smooth single-track and some rocky, technical sections. It's not flat either (see elevation profile below). It promises to be one of the more difficult 2-mile loops you can find.
